I don't think he was ugly at all. Sorry for ur loss
Know the feeling all to well. My terrier buddy has been missing for 2 days. Live in the country and he has took off before but comes back in a day. Loves to hunt skunks of all critters. Missus looking for him now. Crazy how they become part of the family.
Sorry for your loss, I consider my dogs my kids. Everytime one passes on I say never again then I come across another one that needs a good home.
He was a beautiful border collie. I love border collies and ausies. We have had 1 of each. They are so smart. Almost to smart for their own good. When we got our aussie as a pup our son was small and still in diapers. The pup would chase him through the house and bite his diaper pulling tufts of white cotton out. Had to stop that. they thought it was fun but tufts of white stuff on the floor and leaky diaper was not good.LOL But wouldn't change it for nothing.
A lot of us know the pain too well. Had a Gordon Setter woven into the fabric of my soul for 12 wonderful years. Still haven't gotten over her just yet to get another. Standard was set real high for the next one. Glad you have good memories to reflect on. Hopefully you'll find another one too ugly to sell, but too beautiful to pass up.
Kit, that is prolly the most heartfelt post I have ever read! Scott, hope you find a new friend to fill the void. Sorry for your loss.
my first dog was a border collie named Shilo. man I miss her! my second and current dog is a border collie named Phoebe. near twin to Shilo and both are smarter than I have ever seen in a dog. my wife's dog is a basset hound. complete opposite of a border collie! yup, they are all family members, hurts to lose one but the next one will be unique in their own way.
Sorry to hear of the loss
It's true that they become part of the family
My first dog lived for 19 yrs was a beagle mix
When mom n dad brought me home from the hospital he sleep under my crib n passed away my my freshman year of high school
Still miss em
Thanks to everyone.
Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. I think he's a good lookin pooch; and there is an intelligence and attitude in those eyes YOU won't find in any other dog (or person for that matter). I feel for you and your family and understand your grief. My condolences.
