    Default The new ride.

It will spend most of the time in the garage. Not an every day use truck. An every now and then rig for longer trips.

Nice rig. Do yourself a favor and take it in and get the new style spark plugs put in it if it hasn't been done already. The old style have a habit of blowing out the holes and leaving the bottom half in the hole. It is NOT cheap to get them extracted if it happens. Just an fyi.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

I don't fully understand what Hogster is talking about, but if he said it, I'd take it to heart. Word on the street is he knows his stuff.

LOL Joe thanks. The original spark plugs will come apart and blow the porcelain part out and leave the metal threads in the hole. The design. Of the threads allow carbon to build up and it sometimes seizes it in the hole. They have come out with a special tool to remove it but its not fool proof. Can sometimes come down to cylinder head removal. Ain't cheap

I've never seen a Tundra like that...

If u have a minnow bucket up in the cab make sure it doesn't dump over. I have a 4 door and under the panel on the floor just inside the door I have a trough where I have electrical wires going to the back. didn't use my truck for 2 days after and there was a bad smell ,really bad I took up carpet and the panel came up. Ipicked 12 half liquefied minnows out of this tray. Wife was not happy. truck had 23000 mi. so just letting u know if it happens

yeah, it's definatly a problem with the 5.4's. my brothers 5.4 did that to him. twice, I think. blew the whole plug out and took the threads with it. I think they had to heli-coil the threads in the head? his truck is an '01 and other than that never had any issues at all. well over 200K on his truck
lady at work has a 5.4 and forever having troubles with it but she runs the poo out of her rides. in her case a plug broke off at the threads, so she had a mechanic replace all the plugs and I think 3 more broke off in the heads. now she has another vehicle with a 5.4 and already had a coil pack go out... but, like I said, she needs to learn how to drive!
my dad has a 5.4 in his 99 f250 and never had a lick of trouble, I think he replaced the plugs no more he got it, though.
and we have a ,05 f150 loaner truck at the shop and never had any trouble out of it with almost 300k on it, I think.
I have the wimpy 4.6 in my rig, 200K and knock on wood, still doin' fine!
