Thanks, first apt confirmed there is a nerve pinched off somewhere. Emg scheduled for the 3rd, then consult for surgery. I ain't no fan of cutting, but I've lost considerable muscle mass in my left hand. I was doing some stretches about two days ago and felt a flushed feeling down my arm. Now, I swear, my hand is getting stronger by the day and the atrophied areas are looking filled in. Will keep my eye on it before I pay for a test.

you might have popped something back in place, hope so, surgeries suck.

Emg showed the ulner (sp) nerve it trapped/abused where the wrist joins the right side of your palm if you look at the palm of your hand. Doc Carroll suggested waiting six more weeks to let it rest and naturally recover. Tricky spot if it does need surgery. It is improving. I can darn near cross my fingers again on the left hand. Previously, I could barely make the second finger touch the index.

Cleaning fish was better this weekend. I wrapped a Velcro strap around the on button and it had to stay on until the fish were done. Worked!! Glad you skipped your "self abuse" story.

KCBROWN: having learned from my own experience, I would recommend that you exhaust all of your options before you let anyone cut on your hands. The wrist wraps are a great alternative to surgery and a homeopathic option is a magnetic bracelet. I don't pretend to understand how the magnets work, but with some people, I have seen them do some amazing things. And they can do no harm. BOB
