Just got back from watching Gordon receive his metal. Drank some watermelon beer to help celebrate his accomplishment. He was wound up like his old self and you couldn't tell he just paddled 340 miles. He will crash and burn tomorrow on the ride home. He is the man, with only three weeks (or weekends) of training.
Glad you got to celebrate with him and Lisa. Was a great accomplishment for him to even finish on his first try at it. Not only did he finish he very well in his division and overall. I will bet he will be very well prepared for next years event and he will do even better.
