Good news for those on Medicare Advantage plans.
Instead of the 2.3% cut to these plans for 2014 there is a 3.3% raise in their funding. If the funding were to be cut at the scheduled amount there would have been some that would have their plans non-renew for 2014 while others would have seen a noticeable change in benefits reflected in higher out of pocket cost. We have ~20% of our Medicare clients on these plans so that news was a chance for a big sigh of relief. Just posting this cause I know there are several old timers in here.
