I'd doubt that you're running the big motor long enough to fully restore a deep cycle batter to full charge. Best just stick with a 120v charger you hook the deep cycle up to when you're done for the day.

Dumb ? Does the Mercury 150 XR6 have an alternator on it that charges the starting battery when in use? Also is their anything you can buy to charge the trolling motor batteries off of the big motor when it is in use? If so how efficient would it be? Thanks in advance.

The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
Thats what I was thinking on not running big motor long enough. Thanks for the answer though
Are you running your trolling motor and big motor off the same battery?
