Normally glad to hear they found it. In this case, I'm sorry this is how the system works.
You're a victim of the criminal and then get victimized by the system and then pay taxes to incarcerate.
It's always a lose, lose, lose proposition.
In my view of a different system, the criminal would be indebted to you until all debts are paid. Incarcerate at at some manual labor private enterprise or some other arrangement. Guy gets out when the debt is paid X2. If he refuses to work, there would be repercussions for that.

Kit, it's unfortunate that even if you get a judgement and some owes you the money, they won't enforce it when he/she is a deadbeat and won't pay up.

Bummer. Glad day dreamer got closer though....

Sorry for your loss of the truck. Might have been better to not have found it.
Impound yards are nothing but legalized robbers.
The same thing happened to a family that was looking for a lost person. The police found the truck and his body sadly. But they didn't call the family to recover the truck. It just had a flat tire on it. The police had it towed to an impound lot and it cost about the same amount the next day to get it back.

Now it seems like that the darn ins co thinks i am going to just take truck back WRONG. But i have to drive to joplin and do a walk around with a guy from ins to figure out what damages have b n done to truck. I have a recored phone call with them stating they owned the truck no matter condition. But since truck showed up before they paid me everything now changes. HOG WASH I pay my bills when its good and bad. I sure dont think its right for them to only insure when its good only. I sure may have a fight on my hands butthey do too.
