    Explored the S. Grand off old 71. Launched just north of Archie, MO.

    On the downstream side of the rr bridge is the deepest hole I found on the 4-5 miles I paddled. It was 5-8' under the bridge, 13-18' just past it for about 30yds. Never really fished much. Cast a few jigs here and there, but was most interested in covering ground. I was on a time limit, a friend/neighbor was having their 50th anniversary and we wanted to be there for that.
