Default My first time. Hitting a deer that is.

Boogying down the road about 6:20 this morning with boat in tow to go fishing. Husband sleeping in passenger side. All of a sudden "Oh CRAP". A deer comes flying out of the woods and ran right in front of me. A buck that is.

Size: 56.2 KB The brown stuff on the door by the dent is deer crap. Could have been much worse. Still driveable. Didn't hurt radiator. Did push bumper back some. Truck ran OK so went fishing any way. caught a bunch of to small bass. Insurance claim filed. Next repairs.

Main thing is nobody hurt! Hitting the deer is better than trying to miss the deer and hitting a tree!

ouch!!! sorry about your ride, gotta watch out for critters this time of year. ya know, the the fine folks at 5th&oak autobody in washington offer free loaner cars for ya to drive while yours is being repaired, if ya get your truck fixed there!!!! sorry, couldn't help meself........ IF we should see your truck at the shop, ask for me, (Greg) and I'll come say hi to ya!!!
Barry, you have hit the nail on the head there, buddy! ALOT of folks these days run off the road trying to dodge a deer, and hurt someone in the process.

sorry to hear about it. Was driving home yesterday from picking up the grandson, and drove thru a spot where someone had splattered a deer on the interstate. Big chunks, dried blood, etc were all over the road. Luckily I was able to miss all the remains.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Welcome to the Road Hunters Club. Never hit a deer for years, then a few back I bagged my first one. Now, I'm a deer magnet, darn things even run into the side at 15mph in State Parks even. My last, it was a spotted fawn speed bump, but no vehicle damage.

Estimate from shop. $3800.00. Now have to wait for State Farm to come out and do their estimate because I am not going with 1 of there shops they have a contract with. Stupid UNINSURED deer. Need to pass a low that deer need to carry collision insurance. Because you don't see us driving around the woods and stuff trying to run them down. lol
