Hard to tell with out mouthing the deer to tell its age for certain but looks like a mature deer to me. May be on it way down hill by next year or so. Certainly a great buck with archery methods. I always say to the guys that say someone should have passed up a buck where's the pics of a buck you passed and then killed a year or two later. Very very few people have the things needed to grow and hold a buck of this caliber year after year. So makes it pretty tough to pass on a mature buck in hopes of being able to see it again the following year. Let alone get another chance to kill it. Meat in the freezer this year anyway you look at it.

I see why Jake hangs out in Illinois. Has it made comes back here to fish at Truman and can shoot big deer over there. Hard to beat that. No hard feelings ODH.

none at all. i made several people so mad they could have bit a 10 penny nail in two on one sight. they had no sense of humor at all. of course i didn't tell them i was kidding. i just let them stay mad. everybody on that state board jumped on me with both feet. when i saw how they were i mentioned something about a man's bass he was so proud of. then things almost got out of hand. i sat back and laughed along with the ones that knew me. funny how people react. so now i'll have to go to another state board to pull that.
