Horse flies

Was anybody bothered by them this year. Didn't see or feel any here. Not even when the neighbors cows would hang out along the fence by our yard. Much better than a couple of years ago when I would have to have a fly swatter in my hand whenever I went outside. Those dang things hurt.

Insect populations seem to be down around our place too. Maybe the lack of water helped reduce what could have been a buggy summer after a mild winter.

Gnats are starting to get on the wife's nerves. For such little things they sure leave a welt.
