Default Big crapola to the Deer

There are so many Deer in my neck of the woods, the state thinks, I don't, only 17 in the yard yesterday, and 22 in the field south of me, But I seen the state highway boys getting the road marked for. Deer Crossing, darn near my property line, just a few feet away,,, now the road hunters will have more information, oh well thin the heard, fill the freezer, save a life,,,, all is well... just wanted to mention it, oh and I am the same about deer hunters as fishermen, If I am sitting on the porch and one stops to ask permission to hunt, I visit, then decide if it is safe for them....

first off get you a wife that is easy to tick off,,, and you will spend lots of night on the porch, so plant clost to the house and you can watch out for the garden oh and there is 60 acres of corn just accros the south fence line, and 20 acres of beans to the west, and alfalfa food plots north and west... so it's easy....

well arkie I guess the deer crossing sign is to slow motorist down and save lives, and I can agree with that..... it's just the trash it brings in cause they think if there are so many deer that a sign is needed might as well pop a few,,,, I got a good spotting scope and I will get a license no. and reprot them,,, then again maby everyone will just slow down and watch the deer in the yard,,,,,

Sounds like you have plenty of deer in your neck of the woods. We used too....until they make it a 12 deer per person limit (10 does), doe days every day of the season beginning Sept 8 - Jan 1.

Gabowman, well we build lots of food plots, and live in a pretty underdeveloped part of the county, lots of woods, and grain fields, and we keep water for the Deer, I have found that water will draw them to the feed faster than anything, and the pond on the hill is a blessing... but alas with the deer crossing signs I may not get to see so many next year... Did See a big doe and couple young in the yard this am, about 30 feet from the beagle pen, and they did not seemed to be bothered by the dogs, but as soon as they heard my truck zip gone in t he woods....
