Default Please Remember Some Safety Tips on Fireworks!

I know time is getting short! July 4th is just right around the corner! And I don't want to see any of my CDC buddies get hurt. Some of us in Missouri have not had much rain so please becareful.

•Always read and follow label directions.
    •Have an adult present.
    •Buy from reliable sellers.
    •Use outdoors only.
•Always have water handy (a garden hose and a bucket).
•Never experiment or make your own fireworks.
•Light only one firework at a time.
•Never re-light a "dud" firework (wait 15 to 20 minutes and then soak it in a bucket of water).
•Never give fireworks to small children.
•If necessary, store fireworks in a cool, dry place.
•Dispose of fireworks properly by soaking them in water and then disposing of them in your trashcan.
•Never throw or point fireworks at other people.
•Never carry fireworks in your pocket.
•Never shoot fireworks in metal or glass containers.
•The shooter should always wear eye protection and never have any part of the body over the firework.
    •Stay away from illegal explosives.

Still have a great selection of fireworks here in Lineville. All CDC members get 10% right off the top in my store! Plus I have just put out alot of new specials in the store. The tents each have different specials that I don't have in the store! In the 8 years that Paula and I have sold fireworks and the 3 years that we have worked for Hales, this is the best selection of good quaility fireworks that we have ever had the opportunity to sell!

    Please be safe everyone!

Yes please be VERY CAREFUL with the fireworks. Especially with the tinder dry ground. We don't need a bunch of fires like out west.

I live in a "shoot em if you got em" city. All that week I patrol before bed to make sure nothing around me is burning/smoldering. The morning of the 5th, the streets are cluttered with trash, gutters with rocket sticks, etc.

Thought it was cool for the first couple years, not now.

Be respectful as well as careful.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

Also I would like to throw out to the smokers in the crowd, when driving down the road please plant your cigarette butts in your car or truck and not out the window! This time of year, it won't take much to start a fire, and that fire can travel several miles before it is put out! Several years ago there was a cigarette throw out on Hwy 65 North of Preston, MO and it started a fire that traveled over 3 miles before it was put out!

And before anyone gets their neck hair up, I ain't one of those people who wants to ban smoking! I enjoy good cigars anytime I can afford them and if I can't afford them I get the cheap ones!

Just giving you a hard time. Only get ours from the best which is who we call Dan Dan the fireworks man. We have access to lots of water. Maybe we will get lucky and get some rain Saturday morning out of the 20% chance they are calling for. My tournament partner Jigginlow is a licensed/certified shooter. Hopefully he will be done setting up the Clinton show in time to come by and help shoot our show Saturday night. Can't wait to go see how he sets everything up and shoots it. Sunday night will be the Clinton city fireworks show of anyone is around town.
