well today i dropped my boat off at anglers port to have my new 2011 yamaha 115 four stroke put on it...so saturday me the wife and baby are going to go get it and start breaking it in... only problem is is i dont know where on truman is the safest spot to do so since i have only been stationed at whiteman for like 2 years and really only duck hunt it at certain spots and plus this is the lowest i think i have seen it...
all we are going to do is ride around to put hours on it and probably a little swimming.. any suggestions?
stay up by the dam less trees to worry about,
State Park or Long Shoal, they have a nice ramp and a good restaurant. You could put some nice miles on it by running down to Osage Bluff. That's a nice ride. Good luck with the new motor.
You could stay around the dam area by putting in at shawnee bend ramp, big excellent ramp, and another good area is the long shoal ramp and that area........ stay cool..........
A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
isnt long shoals the ramp just north of anglers port? and is the channel going to osage a wide deep channel?
Very wide and deep enough. If you don't have electronics with the maps get a map at WalMart or the marina that shows the channel. I refer to them often when on new waters, so far so good. Haven't hit anything at speed yet.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
Sounds like fun! Let us know how you like the new motor.
I agree with OSS. Shawnee Bend has Two huge ramps and a big area of open water to play in.
Life is a game................ Fishin is SERIOUS!!!
thanks i think i am goin to put in at long shoals and run to osage bluff for the break in.... how long of a ride is that?
