Default new guy from whiteman air force base

hello all my name is logan adams and i am currently stationed at whiteman air force base. I wish zI could be fishing but I am currently in the sandbox but when i get back and buy my new motor yammi 115 four stroke or a evinrude 115 etec.. I will then hit the fish hard until duck season (my true passion).. I dont know which motor to get so what do you suggest... Also is there anyway to get a good map of truman and the channels for a hand held gps? Last year I had hell on it with all the trees and being afraid to open my motor up... Thanks for the advice and i look forward to maybe meeting yall and going to catch a few fish

Welcome from Washington, and thank you very much for serving our country. dunno about gps maps, but I get the "Hot Maps" wax paper maps and they do a good job of showing the channels at truman. only been there a couple of times but those maps served me well.
and my vote goes to the YammerHammer. I love mine!

Greetings Logan and thanks for your service. Hotmaps, yep-gotta have. Yammi or Rude-no brainer-Yammie. I run Merc but Yammi would be close second.

Logan they have hot maps for certain hand held GPS'. I have hot maps for the Lowarance H2O and love it, after learning the hard way on where the channel wasn't at.

Welcome to CDC and thank you for your service to our country! Just yell at someone on here and they might be able to help you more with the channels. I was lucky I learned from a couple of guys on here where to go and not to go. They were nice enough to show me around the Bucksaw area.

Welcome and thanks for your service Logan.

Sounds like the boys are taking care of ya on the HotMaps, but look at GrizzlyJig.com for a good paper map as well. I particularly like having one to spread out over the table for a morning review or late-night strategy meeting (over a few beverages of course).

As for the motor, we run a 150 Yammer - 4 stroke and I just don't know if I could ever go another route...... awesome machines.

I'll be in Sedalia for a night in early May if you are back and needing a direction..........although the Truman regulars on here will almost certainly take care of ya!

Welcome to the site, Logan. I work on base. I try to be as helpful as possible at times. Message me when you get back and we'll see if we can't get you on a fish or two.
