I have considering taking my family camping at Bucksaw in June. I fish out of there quite a bit but have never really paid much attention to the campgrounds. Do they have a beach and playground for the kiddos there near the campsite?

A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it
From an old movie I saw
Yes they have a swim beach and a ply ground. As long as the lake isnt 20 feet high it will be open.Very nice camp ground with clean facilities.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
It is my understanding that the beach has been closed for almost 2 years due to bacteria being found in the water. May reopen this Summer tho.

I think it's the best campground on the lake, my kids enjoy it.
Thanks for the help guys and gals. I will check into the beach being closed before making any firm plans. I know I really enjoy the area I just need to make sure the family will as well.

Dabe we have camped on A & B loop several times & all is good..The core camp ground opens April 15..They might be able to let you know about the beach..
Is the Core Campground open right now at all? I know it's officially on the 15, does that mean if you camp there no water, etc.?
