Ram is a good truck if ya dont mind puttin gas in it or rebuilding the front end.The MPG on them suck.96 thru 99 Chevrolet with the 350-R engine is a good model i got 282000 on mine and still goin strong.Looks like hell but she still pulls the boat good.If ya dont mind imports the Toyota or Nissans are actually very good trucks in thier full sized. The Nissan dont do to well on fuel though compared to the others.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

My last 5 pickups have been Dodge Dakotas. I've always been a Dodge man. My very first car was a Coronet 440 and have owned only one vehicle of another brand, an American Motors Javelin, aka POS!

I sure liked the 99 chevy I had also. The new Titans are nice but don't think they have a regular cab version. Not sure what a new 1/2 ton Dodge runs anymore. I had a 98 with a 6 cyl 5 speed. Not a bad truck but milage was as bad as a V-8. Good luck.

Everyone has their own opinions, but I just upgraded from a 2000 Tundra to a 2008 Tundra and can honestly say I will own only Toyota's from here on out.......... I went with the crew cab (4 doors) but not the Super Cab as I didn't want to lose bed space. This thing will literally pull anything you hook up to it..........can't even tell the rig is behind me and I'd say a Lund w/ 150 horse motor has got some weight.

Not sure what your budget is, but I'd look at a Tundra or even Tacoma.

thank's all for the input! guess i should of said if i could only afford to finanace roughly $15000... is there much of anything to choose from? found a couple but look's like i would have to go used and not sure i wanna buy someone else's headache, lol... i understand everyone has good and bad experience's with all makes and model's... ive had good and bad experience's with different make's and model's but this gmc sonoma took the cake! lol... it's a 2000 gmc sonoma zr2 4wd. i bought it 3 year's ago for 7,100... had 85,000 mile's on it i believe. i was under the gun at that time and needed a vehicle and made a bad mistake. just got done looking at receipt's, and i have put right around $5000 in it so REALLY cant justify putting another dime into it... would really like to have a tacoma 4 wd but even very used still not cheap!
