I have a family friend that cant get out to fish anymore, and he wants some crappie. I told him I would ship him some he is in kansas. Does anyone know where to get styrafoam shipping boxes? also should I just pack in dry ice i assume. Has anybody done this? I got some slabs of rosedale bbq ribs sent to me when I was living in Colorado and that is how they came.

I send to Denver just in styrofoam boxes bags of fillets are frozen flat 6-8 bags in box they say they are still solid when they get them. I do pay for the overnight but it is a bit longer.
The boxes and styrofoam are leftovers from salespeople giving away burgers smokehouse samplers.
Here is one link I found, but why don't you just drive them over to him? He might enjoy the visit as much as the crappie!!
I want to thank a few Kansas boys for there offer to take my friend some of their fillets. Springhillwannabe, Birddog one you guys are standup fellas and once again it shows that there are good people left in this world and half of em are CDC members. THANKS AGAIN FELLAS!
Yep, good folks in here. I'm hauling fillets to Little Rock to my sisters for Christmas. One doesn't fish, one is getting health issues and can't as much as she used to. I used to live there, supplied everyone with crappie all year. Now it's a couple times per year at best. We grew up eating tons of White River crappie we traded a fella cases of honey for. We had over 100 hives of bees.
