    Default Bow buck

Got back this p.m. from my annual week+ bow hunt.......had a great time. Was lucky enough to get a nice 8 point and a doe. I see from other posts that the season is going well for several folks.......good deal. We leave Friday for rifle season......my son does the gun thing, I stick to the bow thing. Good luck to all this weekend, and be safe. Here is a couple of pics of the buck.

We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Oh, and one more thing........whoever recommended the Muck boots, thanks a lot. I got a pair and used them for the first time during my hunt and loved them. Comfortable and warm. Good call!

I got the wetland model, says they are good down to -20. We had temps in the mid 20's, I think it got down to 23 one morning, a couple of times over the past week and a half and I was comfortable enough with nothing more than a thin pair of cotton socks. Paid $93 at a seed store in Jeff City....saw the same model at Roger's for $99 so guess I saved myself a couple of dollars. I was very surprised how comfortable they are.....I am used to rubber boots being big and heavy, these things are so much better. The next model up from mine was good down to I think -40 (it may have been -30, I don't remember), and were camo.....I thought seriously about getting them just in case but I don't have much of a problem with cold feet so I got the cheaper pair. I think they were $124 +/- for the -40 model.

Good luck on the deer hunting....hope you stick that big one next time out. Keep us informed how it goes.
