I thought the Dept of Conservation "MLRT" stood for "Mountain Lion Rescue Team", but upon further review it stands for "Mountain Lion Response Team". It should stand for "Mountain Lion Reduction Team". I know that the landowner shot it, but my goodness, I would like to see a happy ending for at least one of these animals. Just my opinion.

I agree I think they need to take a look at the protocall for shooting these animals. I understand if you feel threatened, but just seeing them on your property shouldnt mean shoot on sight. I lived in breckenridge colorado for four years after high school and camped and hiked alot of acres in the mountains and had no problems with mountain lions or bear, and the population is double what it is here if not much higher. If we arent carefull they will be gone once again. Just my 2 cents.
