Watching the Noodling marathon on Animal Planet. Not that I would try it but why is it illegal in certain states. I understand the pulling fish of nests. Any other reasons?

LOL Its a rush guys, Ive did it a time or 2...Biggest I caught was 30lbs. We went in june they werent spawning then....I know I must be crazy but no I am not, honest though it is fun

I could see how it would be a rush. I might try it if I was with someone that was knowledgable to experience the excitement and it was catch and release. It seems you are targeting only the larger fish and unlike fishing you are going into their home not having them come to you.
