Our tax money spent wisely?

I was on my biennial trout fishing, camping trip at Maramec springs Park.There's a little creek that runs through the park, State hiway patrol officers and a k9 unit were patrolling a creek 20 yards wide.I questioned 1 of the officers about what they were looking for He said "public intox, nudity,drug use,under age drinking,these 2 officers had 2 trucks a jet boat and 2 four wheelers,and a portable blind set up on the bank. Whie I was wade fishing through,they caught 1 underage drinker(20yrs),No nudity(darn)and one 50yr old with a one hiter.whatever that is.Our tax money needs to be better used. To expend 2 officers 1 k9 dog a jet boat for at least 6 hrs on a small stream while the Current,Niangua,Meramec,Big,St.francis get under patrolled dosen't seem right.

looks foolish, but maby they were looking for something that has been a problem, something we do not know about, and you just seen the ,,,what they wanted you to see, or maby some politician got mooned a couple weeks ago and raised a ruckus, who knows, but at least they were trying.

It's a sign of what they expect to happen. Every floating river in the ozarks gets horrible during Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor day weekends. We have a family function in Hardy, AR every year. Every year "if" we float the Spring river there are undercover cops (t-shirts with their badges on chains around their necks) anchored in the middle of the river, sitting on the bank and blocking every dirt road that is used to leave the river. It is out of control with drinking and drugs, which results in sexual and violent asaults and drunk driving accidents.

For that reason we don't float that river now unless we get there on Thursday or Friday morning or maybe Monday since most college aged kids don't get there until late Friday and leave Monday morning.

Its the sign of the times! Down at Bennett Springs State Park if they don't patrol it heavy someone usually ends up hurt really bad or dead.

I had a couple of the local home county deputies stop by up here in Lineville to check on me a few weeks ago! LOL, they had been up in Des Monies, IA for a training deal and they decided to see if I was still alive. These guys patrol Hickory County which is the Pomme de Terre Lake. And they are Hickory County Sherriff Deputies, I have known one of them for several years. The guys kind of keep an eye on my folks and the farms. They both told me that the drug deal around Pomme de Terre has gotten totally out of hand. They told me about one guy who has been arrested 4 times in the last 2 years for Meth and he has been sent up to the state pen. And some stupid judge keeps reducing his sentence so the guy is back out again on the streets! Its no good to have laws without good judges!

Saw the Highway Patrol/Water Patrol Saturday on Beouff Creek a creek access to the Missouri. It was also the K9 Unit. Had a very pretty german shepherd dog and wouldn't want it after me. It could do some damage. He also had a VERY NICE inboard jet boat. He slowed down waved and went on. Didn't stop any one in the creek but went on out to the river. I am glad to see them out on the water and checking things. Nice truck and trailer also. Truck had Missouri State Highway Patrol K9 Unit in BIG letters on the sides. Also Had K9 unit Stay back on it. You couldn't miis it.
