No, and most of us never will. Even if you had three living in the same square mile of your house the chances of seeing one is slim. They are very shy and try to stay away from people. Kinda like bears. Bears are common in the ozarks of Arkansas. I have hiked just about across the entire top of the state via wilderness trails. Never seen more than bear droppings. Most wildlife has incredible ears, make a sound and they are gone.

I have seen them on trail cameras around a co workers deer stand after they killed a young doe.

Last November our neighbor saw 2 around our farm (west of Farmington). Just this morning 1 of our 3 house dogs didn't come back in, he is 10 years old and has never done that before. My wife looked and yelled and drove the road for an hour and no Sammy. I took the other 2 dogs and went through the woods, after a short while the other 2 finally found Sammy. He was eaten from his front shoulders to his back feet. Not sure if it was a cat or maybe a coyote, he was a Dachsund about 15lbs. RIP Sammy!

My wife's poodle has been taken one time by a coyote, it dropped her when the wife went to running, the dog to yelping, and lights came on. She's also been chomped by a german sheperd that was chasing rabbits in tall grass. The gs probably thought... white rabbit and chomped down. It dropped her, but she suffered from both. She still can't scratch well.

my father-in-law just showed me a news paper article from van buren, in carter county, mo. I believe it was only a couple of weeks old, but a hunter had another trail camera pic of a mountain lion. also, there was an article where they found a 2year old bull elk, dead in a ditch about 20 miles from the peck ranch where the elk were released.
