    Default white, mississippi white,

what ever you want to call them , I have seen the name come up several time in different state forums. I have been reading, researching, and trying to find out about them, I never checked till today, and according to the net, there is no such a fish, just misdirected name of a channel cat in muddy or really stained water ,which causes the skin to turn a lighter color, like the fish in my pond when it muddys up for a long time. now having said that, I was wondering.

Same thing goes with flatheads. They have many different names but are all the same fish. Some people swear they are a different fish but no. Fish have varying color depths depending on conditions. I know some people who swear they catch bunches of white cats in the Missouri. but they are just light colored blues. anything would be light colored in that muddy water.
