    Default Chasing ole Bucketmouth

Full moon this weekend and hot means I'll be throwing the 10" worm for big ole black bass. If I lived on Truman or Stockton I'd keep crappie fishin'. But there have been a lot of 5lbs. plus fish this year in the tournaments and I want to try to get a 5+ under my belt. Folks hear say evening into morning on moon filled nights are the belt bet.

Good luck to those fishin' the CUSA tourney on Truman.

I've been hoping that Cusa would come to Truman, if they are this weekend, it sure isn't on their website?

Ooops. C.Com not CUSA. My brain misfired and it shot out through my fingers.
Had a great evening Saturday night into Sunday morning. Barndog was pulling in more fish and getting bites every three casts with an immitation crawdad. My Power worm was only getting pecked by Bluegills. Asked if I could have some of those crawfish and the bite was on. Caught as many bass as we catch crappie this time of year on Table Rock. Barn had a nice small mouth at 2lbs. 6oz. I finished the night with a 3# a 3#2oz. & a 3# 6oz. Nice being on the lake without the jet skis and pleasure boaters. Now it's back to Crappie fishing time again. Gonna do some trolling after church next weekend. Saturday has been booked by my social director.

Good to hear! I'm going to be at the Rock over and after Labor day, and I'm bringing the boat.. Will be staying at Big Cedar, and fishing with my father-in-law. I figure I'd go after the bass unless for some reason the crappie are really on at that time. Let us know how the bassin' goes near the end o fnext month (if everyone doesn't get too PO'ed about it not being crappie).

Thanks, I may just do that. I have bass fished there before, though not for a few years, and never too successful. I do love Table Rock though, Stockton too. My folks got a place on LOZ about 5 years ago and believe it or not I haven't had the boat off of that lake since. I do want to get back to some other places though. I actually picked up the bassin' stick for the first time in about 3 years or so about 3 weeks ago and I enjoyed it. I do like the fact that with crappie an average day will still catch 20-30 fish, where as with bass it's not uncommon for me to get skunked or only catch 1 or 2 dinks. There is a lot more bass pressure on LOZ than crappie in my opinion.
