That's really cool stuff. We're running short on oldtimers here too. Lost my grandpa last nite. I've got some of stuff of his that I can take out and look at, and remember. He gave me an old metal compass a few years ago that he carried for years fox and coon hunting. The paint is wore off from use. I use it duck hunting in the woods now, very neat to have something with that kind of history with you.
Sorry to hear about your grandpa, TT. Glad you got some memorabilia. Treasures, for sure!
Love it!
I love old hunting and fishing stuff like this--thanks for sharing!
tall, sorry to hear about your grandpa. i'm glad i got to meet him that day we met about the boat.
Thanks everyone for your sentiments.
Sorry for you loss Bro. Hollar if you need anything.
Sorry to hear TT. That compass has a value above and beyond currency. I have a few momentos of my Granddad's too that will stay with me.
I took 12 of my Grandma and Grandpa's lures and made a shadow box clock out them. Attached them with thread so they wouldn't be damaged. Was a very theraputic project for me. Golly I miss them.
