Update On Matt

Matt is still in the 'stan. His unit has been doing a lot of foot patrols lately. Got to kick a couple doors down this week and captured an IED builder. He says the weather has gotten a lot better but is getting HOT during the day now. Here is a pic he sent me today. Little boy is begging for chocolate. Matt doesn't eat sweets much so he didn't have any to give. I e-mailed him back and told him that he should carry some around just for the kids.

tell your boy thank you for us ! I used to save my sweets out of my c rats, mre's for the youngster's make friends where you can again best of luck to your boy

Keep us up to date once in awhile Bob, heck it looks like this country is getting into another mess in lybia, hope matt can stay safe and out of some of harms way......... just being on the same ground is bad enough......

Matt's a good man!!!! I'm very proud of him as I know you are. Only 3% of our young people voluntarily choose to serve in the military. They are our true hero's for ensuring the safety and freedom of our nation. God bless you Matt and all of our service men and women!!!!! Stay safe
