    Default Boat Carpet Project

I decided to use this non-fishing time in a more constructive way. I'm stripping the carpet out of my tub. It's a lot more work than I thought it would be. Wish I had known that the boat would have to be disassembled to do the job. Now this weather will keep me away from the job for a few days. Oh well. Here are a couple of pics of my progress or lack of..................

Looks like a good time for a deck extension also, since you have it all ripped out. I'd trade you jobs, sanding down trailers and prepping for paint is a PITA.

There are supposed to be some alternative products coming out shortly to replace carpet. I'm keeping an eye on it at BBC. I'd love to see something padded and closed cell. Would be great to be able to hose the boat out, or be in the rain and not have to worry about mold, etc.

Sounds like a big job having to disassemble the inside, but by doing it right I know it'll look good. Post some pictures of the finished product.

No more seat bases up front. I don't like being that close to the riff raff I hang around with!
