Taking a trip to Wappapello Lake?

Going to Wappapello lake in April. Need any help or info I can get for this lake. Crappie fishing of course. When is the best month for crappie? What area is the best for crappie? Things that will help me not be so lost when we get there? Thanks

April should be gang busters on the Wapp. Try orange/chartruce tubes under a float with a slow retrieve. They will be shallow. Dipping the buck brush and stumps along the banks is always a good technique that time of year. Asher Creek, Otter Creek, Lost Creek will all be good. Really anywhere in shallow water will have fish.
