Here's how to find extra fishing money !!!

I recently found myself searching the MO Unclaimed Property website and was amazed at how many funds I found for friends, family, and co-workers. The funds are reported to the state by companies, organizations, etc. that have lost contact with the individual or business. The funds could be from security deposits, credit balances on closed accounts, etc. The state keeps the funds and will return them to you if you can prove you are the rightful owner. In many cases, you can do it all on-line. If you have a new address, you may be required to send in some type of proof such as a copy of a utility bill, tax return, etc. I'm sure some of you have funds sitting there just waiting to be converted into rods, reels, and crappie jigs.

Be sure to search different ways as I found the search engine is a little quirky especially when searching for business names.

Ok... Ok... go ahead... make a mockery out of this post. But just remember that while all of you are snickering, SOMEONE from this board, has a sizeable claim just waiting for them. If that person happens to read this thread and sees all of your comments, they may decide not to look on the Unclaimed Property website for themselves due to the assumption that any money they may have would be miniscule and not worthy of wasting any of their couch potato time. All the while, that sizeable claim sits there in the vault of the MO Dept of Unclaimed Property just waiting to be turned into a brand new 10' Sam Heaton rod.
