Warning: Smith's Restaurant, Springfield, MO

Went in today at 3:12 was handed menu's and was told that someone would be right with us to get our order. There were only 2 other couples eatting at the place at that time. At 3:30 pm walked out because no one would come and service us. People kept coming out of the kitchen and looking at us but no one would even bring us a glass of water. It will be a cold day before we ever go back. I have never gotten this bad of service at the Bolivar or Collin's, Missouri locations. But if they can't handle our business in Springfield then they can't handle my business in their other locations.

Drove right up to Applebee's and had a glass of tea within 5 minutes of walking in the door. Enjoyed their food and good service.

Cant say as I blame ya but....I'd rather lay the blame on the manager and hired help of the Springfield establishment rather than the whole franchise. But then.....that's just me.:o

True but they used to have good service at the Springfield location. But if you own a business and can't hire good help to run all your locations you would be better off just running one location.

GROUCH.......i believe i'd avoid you like the plague if i ever had to wait on you......can you just imagine what those poor folks though when they saw you and your bride sitting there practicing your fast draw on each other

I just happened to be on the phone when I walked into the place with my banker so I had the time when I ended the call when I set down at the table. Yeah I really enjoy the License Bureau with all the morons who don't have all their paperwork with them! Thats why I always only go to a couple of offices that I know will have their act together.

I was willing to give them another 5 minutes but it was PW58 who said if our money don't look green enough for them then we will take it somewhere else. LOL when PW sees your post, good luck with the beans!

I guess when your on the road for as much as 6 to 8 weeks at a time or longer you kind of expect good service. We were in a I Hop in Conway, Arkansas the other night. Ordered breakfast, asked at the time of the order for extra butter, got the pancakes, asked again for extra butter and we finally got the extra butter about the time we were done with the pancakes. I heard the kid bitching about the amount of his tips from other tables. If your reading this kid next time bring my extra butter with my meal not after I am almost done with it and you might get a tip!

Went there a couple weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon and service and food were both excellent. Next time we are splitting the tenderloin sandwich.....couldn't eat it all. Maybe they were in the middle of a shift change or something. Give-em another try.

Ok, I'm reading this. Next time leave more than a quarter and you will get better service AND extra butter (Like you need it anyway) Hurry back!!!
