I’m looking for suggestions because I ruined mine this year cooking crappie for the guys at deer camp. Too lazy to put it up and it rained so I guess it was my fault. I had a cool touch Rival which I liked a lot and it looked something like the one below. Anyone have anything they think is just the greatest before I buy a new one???

I'm still using my rival, but not like the one above...its white and has a lid you can shut while frying. The only other one I had was a round, black presto fry daddy. They both work fine.
The best feature I could recommend is ease of cleaning. If ya don't clean and filter the oil often, your food quality will decline. The easier to clean, the more often you will do it.

bought a cajun fryer from Grizzly, baddest fryer on the market!!
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!
Cook the one pictured has the lid that closes but for some reason they pictured it with it off. Those other fryers look nice but a little large for my needs. Might just stick with the Rival. I like the way you can lift the basket and just let the oil drain while the oil re-heats. Thanks For the input guys!
Bill I didn't know you caught enough crappie to have a fish fry.(LOL)
May all your live wells be full.Dave
