Default Smithville A Little Tough but Fun Friday

Ran up the river and of course the water was dirty and really couldn’t get bit.
Brushpiles on main lake only held shorts but the ones around Campbranch held a few 9 inchers.
Best luck was dippin trees in the Campbranch arm, trees from 4 to 12 fow. A little tip that helped me get bit today was the jig had to hit the bottom which has not been the norm up there for me this year but was almost the only way to catch’em today. Quite a few fish, not many keepers and nothing over about 10 ½ .

Sorry posted in the off topic

Never let it hit bottom on purpose, interesting, did they hit when you pulled up,or retrieve a foot and pause?

After I pulled off the bottom they would nail it. Got hung up in roots several times but not too bad.

Looks like you had to really figure them out today. Good job on trying different things till you find what/where works.
