The boat is ready to put back in the water since the last break down.

I lost my steering going about 60 mph, I guess the helm broke. Kinda SCARY! The cables have been tight for a long time so I replaced everything. While I was at it I went ahead and resealed the lower unit, new water pump, new prop shaft (which has been slightly bent for a while) and bought a demo prop (the old one had a slightly bent blade so it’s now a spare). Come on stumps here I come!

The down time gave me a chance to use the father in laws ski boat pulling the kids tubing and it seemed too hot to fish anyway. I’ve got a couple of nephews coming in from California soon and one of them loves to fish but his parents don’t. He’ll fish all day no matter how the fishing is so I can’t wait to get him back on the water.
