Default Table Rock report and a bunch of bull

Got a late start 'cause I had to fix fence before pulling out this morning. The Bull had decided to test the electric fence sometime last night and busted a half dozen insulators in the process. He weighs almost 2,000 pounds, so that is a lot of bull!

Put in at Cape Fair about 07:30, turned the locator on and the darned thing worked for a change! Fished a couple small coves just North of Woolly Creek. Nothing but a bunch of 10 to 12 inch Kentuckies there. Lots of them were even busting shad like white bass! Wasted about an hour there before heading to Piney Creek. Pretty much the same scenario there. No Crappie but lots of short bass. I tried jigs, minners, jigs with minners and still no Crappie. Water temp was 82 to 83º, so it is cooling down just a bit. Marked lots of fish in 30 fow hanging around the stumps but couldn't pull out anything but bass
I tried shallow around timber and deep around timber, the moth of coves, in the coves, secondary points and out in the channel and even went to the South side along the bluffs and stickups there all with no luck.

Did see three deer come down to water though. Two does and a 4 point buck which was the brightest shade of red I have ever seen on a whitetail!
Weather was gorgeous, but the wind was gusty at times. Noticed a big knot popped up on the sidewall of a trailer tire so gonna have to get some new ones soon.

TBL & Bull are a couple of the hardest lakes to get on a good bite. But when you do, the quality of fish are phenomenal. Not Mississippi phenomenal, but phenomenal none the less.

Gimme a mudhole and a crappie every 60 seconds just to keep me interested.
