went with the 3/4 inch exterior plywood, found the carpet through bass pro, they have 3 catagories of carpet why I dont know seems like the best is all you need to offer it isnt that much difference in price. only trouble I expect is getting the door frame off off the old floor and not bend it. the old carpet came off way to easy most of it wasnt stuck verry well, got the glue, saw horses, and L square lay old board on new board mark, cut, attach the alu. holders and think I will have it ready in a week.
radioactive, this is a one man one hand kinda job, Miss Sharon helps when she can, the rest I am just doing left handed cant wait till I run the saw left handed, more later
Can't wait to see the finished product
now arlen you cut that out. going to cut the board today,(i hope), surenuff hot out there turn on the fan, boom instant convection oven in the barn
Beagle don't know if this will help you any or not. But being an ex Bull Hauler and hanging around a bunch of cattle traders the best thing I have ever found to remove glue is plain old WD-40. Works wonders on those cattle back tags with all the glue on them. Give me a horse brush or curry comb and about 10 minutes in the back of a cattle trailer and the cattle will look as fresh as spring water.
thanks DAN but no problem with getting glue off, they didnt have it glued verry well, or I just wore the carpet out with all the trips, anyway here are a few more steps I got done today

test lay in the front deck. it didn't quite fit, but not to much sanding to do, this is fun stuffhttp://i713.photobucket.com/albums/w...g/DSCN0030.jpg
I think that you will really like the longer deck. You should have more storage under there also.
