Default Lost my good buddy (dog)

"Montydog" was foster dog number 75 that came through our house. We just couldn't adopt him out. He was only 4 1/2 years old and was very attached to my wife. When we rescued him as a puppy, he had no hair (mange), scared to death, sickly and less than 24 hours from being put down. He was a great boat friend, fishing friend, walking friend, fetching friend, mushroom hunting friend and he only talked back once a day.... From happy to passed away in 3 days. Vet did a great job in trying to help him. I know you all didn't know him or know me, but if you could keep Monty in your thoughts as he makes his journey I would appreciate it.

We have only had our new pup 5 weeks now and he already rules the house, they sure can become like a child if not worse.... I sure like that name...

Sorry for the loss of your friend. I have lost several through the years and after the two I have pass I'll have no more. I think, I hope anyway. Hurts to bad.

I love dogs; it hurts bad when you lose them. You're to be commended for giving the "foster dog" a happy home to live out his life.

They sure wiggle their way into your hearts! I'm sure he was grateful you gave him a happy life and would want you to adopt another pal.

My Sis in law has a 6 month old Pug puppy that is to be put to sleep this Saturday and it is breaking our hearts! She has slowly developed neurological problems and now can't walk or control her bodily functions and even though the vet says she isn't in pain, there isn't any hope for her.

You gave that dog the best years of it's life, you should be proud of that. I had a dog that lived fourteen years and I am not shy to to say that I cried like a baby for several days after she passed away.
I always say this one will be the last one but I know I am lying to myself.

Sorry to hear that man. Sounds like you gave him a pretty awesome life, and I'm sure he appreciated the time you spent with him.
