    GOT AIR WORKING AGAIN!!!! GOT HOME SUNDAY NIGHT AT DARK 30 FROM THE RACE IN TOPEKA AND THE BOSS SAID IT'S HOT IN HERE,TURN THE AIR ON,,I DO AND NOTHING,,,I SAYS I WILL LOOK AT IT IN THE AM... WELL THE GOOD OLD AIR UNIT HAS DIED,,CALL THE REPAIRMAN AND HE SAYS I WILL BE OUT,,,,YOU HAVE A DEAD UNIT HE SAYS,,I SAYS CAN IT BE FIXED, HE SAYS NOPE ITS TO OLD,,,TO OLD I SAYS IT WAS PUT IN IN 74 WORKED FOR 36 YEARS:rolleyes:,,,:D I WILL MAKE U A DEAL HE SAYS SOOOOOOO....
    WELL THANKS TO TIM PRENGER AT CEN/TEC IN JEFF CITY,,,WE NOW HAVE AIR AGAIN

    Hate to hear the unit died, but on the positive side the newer units are much more energy efficient, so you might have more spare change for boat fuel:D

    man that is a bummer, 34 years and no repair, oh well maby this one will last a long time and serve you well.

    Mine would not cool the house the same day. $250 and 7 1/2 lbs of freon later house is nice and cool. My unit is 23 years old and will be getting replace later this summer. Cheaper than paying $55 an hour for them to find the leak.
