Default a little bit of a hairy situation!!!

well we just had a nasty little storm blow thru, i was looking out the backdoor and watchin the trees be blown almost in half and then my shed blew over, the tornado sirens went off and then the kids and i hauled A$$ to the basement!!!!

checked on DMW1960 by text cuz he was in the path of this storm and is ok too! just south of where he is the storm collapsed a semi truck wash and trapped a bunch of people inside, last i heard on my radio all were out and ok.

i have not heard yet if there was a confirmed tornado or if it was just straight line winds.

tis the season folks! if your not prepared YOU BETTER GET READY NOW!!! cuz this little doozy caught us off guard.

get your emergency kits together and keep them where they are handy to get to and make sure everyone in the house knows where its at.

fresh batteries in flashlights, candles, cell phones, weather radios food and water.

I'm glad to hear that you and your family are OK, & the same for DMW.

It's a good post, to remind people to be ready for these things, as they can and will pop up without notice.

    Default Cell Phone Weather

JohnnyLaw thanks for checking on me. LOL between you and one of my buddies in Buffalo, I was staying informed. My buddy in Buffalo started texting me about an hour before the storm hit. He was watching it on radar on his office computer. We had at least 50 mph straight winds. A few electric poles blown down and a couple of roofs damaged. I was lucky my RV trailer was sitting on the East side of a building when the wind hit out of the southwest.

One thing I might add to the list of things that are kind of nice to have in storms. I have weather on my cell phone. And it has a thing on it where I can set my location anywhere in the USA. If there is any watches or warning I get a text. Yesterday I got the watch text about an hour before the storm hit and I got the warning the minute the weather service issued it. Granted the service costs $3.99 per month but I can pull up radar from anywhere. I have used it several times fishing.
