I know enough to know that I have an opinion, and when I'm about to take it in the shorts from the gov't.

For those that don't want to know much about politics or talk about politics can rest assured they will be taken care of by these folks that are claiming concerns about the folks.

Ones silence is so golden to them as they proceed with their plans.

They are openly saying their plans but some prefer not listening.

    Enjoy!

I hate politics but I also think its funny that the Rep. are yelling now, its not what the people want. I very few years back the people voted for Dem. but by the electoria votes went to Rep. I dont remember the Rep yelling thats what the people want then.

politics is simple really, very similar to religion. can't be definitively proven either way until it's too late....

if you fear the govt more than they fear you it's not freedom they way the US was established. however, if the govt fears you more than you fear them, that my friend is liberty and should be celebrated. which of the 2 do you think currently applies today? our current president and our last president are 2 super scary people if you ask me, doubt either of them fear me in the slightest.

that is why the first 2 amendments are so very important! if you don't like what the govt is doing, sure you can vote against them, but a more applicable solution is to buy guns when you disagree, that will get their attention.

That's the way it's set up, Dave. It's a democratic republic....not a democracy. It was set up this way to keep concentrations of populations, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, etc, from deciding the national vote. It's the only way every part of the country can have a part in elections. I, for one, am awfully glad those pinhead liberals don't make all the decisions.

I don''t know anything about the goverment. but I am willing to learn, so my first political question,

If the majority of the citizens of the UNITED STATES vote for a man to become president and a group of people cast a vote becaue of a long ago good plan that is still implemented in this day and age when population concerns are no longer an issue does that not mean my vote does not count ?

So very true. I don't know about you all but for someone not studiously inclined and a high school drop out I can definitely say I left public school with the idea of our country being a democracy and how great democracies were.

I can't ever recall any course of instruction hearing where the signatories of the Declaration of Independence were vehement opponents of democracy because historically all democratic systems of government had always ended in tyranny and chaos. But again I wasn't paying that much attention at the time.

Now with a newly piqued interest in US history I now know how the true characterization of a democracy can best be described.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb getting ready to vote for what is for supper.
