Wheel weights are really not pure lead - they contain tin (and maybe antimony?) to make them harder.
You can try Midway in Columbia. They have a number of different lead formulations (Lead+tin+antimony) and I think they may even have fairly pure lead.
You can also tru Rogers in Liberty. They have lead ingots that I have used and they are pretty good.
The other alternative is to melt the weights as CN suggests. After skimming off the slag you can then pour your own ingots using an ingot mold.

For another source try EBAY and type in lead. Got mine there and it was pure soft lead and was cheaper than the local store.

the trick to tire wieghts is to melt it in a a scap pot, skim the floating stuff off and dip the lead out but don't touch the bottom. You might have to use a couple of pots but your lead will be good to go.

Mo is on the spot with this, wheel weights will work fine with spinnerbaits or any large cavity. Use the soft with small jigs. Check your phone book for it locally.
