Default Have ya ever felt a front?

No,not that,a cold front actually hit?
They cancelled school for 2 inches of snow(don't get me started!)
So I had all 4 grandkids again. We had a lazy morning and late breakfast, then decided to go sledding.Seemed like it took an hour to get them all dressed,boots,coats,gloves,hats...you know the routine.By then it was noon, and still a few flurries coming down, checked the temp and it was 34.5...good packing temp for snowballs and snowmen.
After about 15 minutes, the wind kicked up out of nowhere...got cold in a hurry and snow increased..went inside at 12:20...temp was down to 29 already. Its a little after 3 now, still snowing, and gusts up to 20-25 mph...temp now 19.8

I've been out in the summer when a storm approached..but never in the winter when when the actual front line hits....a first that I can remember.

My wife can tell a front, or weather change 1 to 2 days before it happens.
She has some serious cervical spine issues compounded by scoliosis of the spine and degenerative arthritis.

She'll ask if a front is coming, and I check the weather forecasts, and she's right about 90% of the time.

I've always noticed and been told that when the cattle are up feeding somethins bout to happen. Fish seem to bite better, deer move better, and I've got a little more hop in my step. Don't know if that's what yer referin to, but it's what I notice. But, like Sat said too, sometimes you can 'just feel it in your bones'.

I know what your talking about Cook, I could feel it driving into it.
I have a broken window in the back of my truck and the draft coming in got really cold all the sudden, it got really foggy and the snow was hammering down. It was like hitting a wall.
By the time I got home, it dropped 15 deg.
About 35 min drive from Booneville and Marshall!!
And my wife says her knees are killing her, she's a pretty good barometer too.
