It was brought to my attention today and verified by MDC personel that they are considering going to a reservation only format for waterfowl areas next year. Also, they are considering allowing each hunter to hunt an area only 3 times during one season.

If implemented, the poor line days are over and choosing to hunt on the migration days would be a thing of the past.

It seems as though they are trying to cater to the urban fellas again.

There are 3000-10000 applications for reservations on each area every year. How are we going to be able to hunt more than a couple of times a year even if you get drawn without a poorline.

If you disagree with this proposal, call/write/email the new Director, Bob Ziehmer. Also let Mike Schroer or Bill Berg of the Waterfowl Unit your opinion.

My opinion is, just more crazy ideas from MDC. Next they may try to limit fishing pressure by reservations.

this was e-mailed to me from a duck hunting chat site...
