I'd vote for number 4, only because I spent Sunday am with meals on reels in his new "anti-tree" boat on Truman. I said "Yo, Josh, just because we have 10ft poles does not mean we have to stay 10 ft from the trees; Monty trolled right up to them when he showed me how to fish" "Oh, ok" So now we get closer to the trees, but he must have the trolling motor on 25 'cause we're going by them at about 15mph. By the time I drop my jig, not only am I hung up, but I've also lost about 20yds. of line. We are new, we suck, but we are learning (I hope:()
Evidently you are NOT fishing fast enough, Jack. :D
Jack your trolling motor was set on a pretty fair pace the first time I used it.... like 24 volt high side.... Rabbit for fast Turtle for slow.......:D
Thank you for the words of encouragement! I was kidding more than anything, we just need to know our way around Truman better, and that will come with time spent on the water. Older people? Bob, I'M ALREADY THERE! And Monty, you are correct; until you showed me, I thought the trolling motor only had the rabbit setting:eek:
