Default Cell Phones & Phone Numbers

Just Going To Post A Little Info For Everyone. Hope It Helps Someone!

I Don't Know About You But I Hate Cell Phones! How Many Times Have You Either Lost Or Had To Purchase A New Cell Phone. Over The Years I Have Never Lost One Lucky For Me. But Just A Couple Of Days Ago My Cell Phone Quit. Had To Go Get Another One. My First Worry Is All The Important Phone Numbers That I Only Have Listed In It. You Know What I Am Talking About, Beagles, Bugmans, Oss, Jiggin 15, Bass Pro, And Everharts! And When Ever You Purchase A New Phone Usually Your Lucky And They Can Transfer The Phone Numbers From Your Old Phone To Your New Phone. Well You Know My Luck! Sorry Mr Wisdom We Can't Get Your Phone Numbers Out Of Your Old Phone. Well I Have Over The Years Heard This More Than Once. And The Last Thing I Want To Do Is Sit For Hours Trying To Put All The Stuff Back Into My New Phone. It Drives Me Nuts Because I Have Phone Numbers That Are Hard To Find In My Cell Phone. And Trying To Push All Those Little Buttons And The Time It Takes To Put In Over 200 Names And Phone Numbers Can Run Into Hours.

Well I Have Alltel Which Has Been Purchased By Verizon. Don't Know How That Is Going To Affect My Service. So Far I Have Not Noticed Any Change In The Service Quaility. About 6 Months Ago I Started Having A Little Trouble With My Phone. I Started Getting Worried. The Buttons Were Sticking, Heck The Phone Was Almost 4 Years Old. I Got To Looking And Alltel Offered A Backup For My Phone Book That Cost $1.99 Per Month. Wife Thought That I Was Stupid. Just More Money Your Spending. Well Folks Old Dw Came Out Smelling Like A Rose! When They Told Me That They Couldn't Transfer My Phone Book To My New Phone I Went Nuts! But I Remembered I Had Been Paying For This Backup Program Where It Backs Up My Phone Book Daily. Well We Got Home With The New Phone And Wife Called Alltel And They Walked Her Thru What To Do To Get The Backup Program Back On My New Phone. And She Was Able To Download All My Phone Book On To The New Phone. It Transfered All The Listings Over 200 But It Didn't Transfer All The Phone Numbers For Some Reason. But There Were Only 5 Out Of 200 Phone Numbers That Didn't Down Load! I Figure That Was Pretty Good Compared What Could Have Happened! I Was Able To Go Online This Morning With My Laptop And Log In And Fix All The Listings That Didn't Have Phone Numbers. Plus I Was Able To Print Out All The Names And Numbers In My Phone Book Online! It Was A Heck Of A Lot Easier To Read On A Computer Screen Than That Little Phone Screen!

So For Only A $1.99 Per Month I Have Gotten My New Cell Phone Up And Running With Only Less Than An Hour Of Work! Instead Of The Weeks Or Months It Has Taken In The Past.

So You Are Like Me And Your Cell Phone Is Really Important. You Might Want To Check With Your Current Provider To See If They Offer Some Sort Of Daily Backup Program For Your Cell Phone.

Just Think If You Drop Your Cell Phone Into The Lake And Loose It $1.99 Per Month Is Cheap Insurance To Be Able To Keep All Those Important Phone Numbers!

I KEEP PHONE BOOKS IN MY PICKUP. BUT IF YOUR ASKING ME TO TRY TO KEEP TRACK OF AN ADRESS BOOK WITH CELL PHONE NUMBERS IN IT AND MY CELL PHONE YOU ARE ASKING ALOT OF ME! LOL! SOMETIMES I HAVE A HARD ENOUGH TIME KEEPING TRACK OF MY CELL PHONE.

AND I WILL TELL YOU SOMETHING ELSE YOU WANT TO TALK TO ME, DON'T BOTHER CALLING THE HOUSE PHONE, I WON'T ANSWER IT. I FIGURE IF YOU ARE IMPORTANT ENOUGH YOU ALREADY HAVE MY CELL PHONE SO YOU WILL CALL ME ON IT. THE ONLY REASON WE EVEN HAVE A LAND LINE IS SO I CAN HAVE A FAX MACHINE. I HAVE MOM & DAD FIXED UP WITH A ANSWERING MACHINE - FAX MACHINE. MAKES IT NICE WHEN THEY LIVE 60 MILES AWAY. THEY DON'T HAVE AND DON'T WANT A COMPUTER WITH INTERNET SERVICE. THEY JUST HAVE ME DO ALL THE INTERNET BUSINESS DOWN HERE WHEN THEY WANT SOMETHING LOOKED UP. THEN I JUST FAX IT TO THEM.
