Stockton Joyride 8-29-09
Well typically when I go fishing it is out of Sam's boat. So today I thought I would run up to Stockton with my boat to run some gas through it. And boy did I. Got there and can't see 15 feet in front of boat for the fog. Waited it out in the cove at Cedar Ridge. Once I could see I ran from Cedar Ridge down a ways past HighPoint. From Highpoint I ran all the way to Crabtree Cove. Ran back from Crabtree and stopped and fished awhile in Price Branch and all I managed to pick up were two Smallmouth. Left Price and ran back to Cedar Ridge. So those of you who are familiar with Stockton know I ran a long ways. Don't get many days on Stockton when you can run full bore on the main lake. Man it was a beautiful day for a joyride. Oh yeah, and when I get to the ramp the Water Patrol is sitting there waiting on me and everybody else that is pulling out. Just wanted to see all my paperwork, horn, whistle and everything else. Was a real nice guy. Oh yeah, and boat ran great, so I guess I will put in back in the garage for the next year. Hope everybody had a good day. Sorry Polebender, I would have waited around on you but knew you wouldn't probably be there for another hour or two so I headed on home. Hope you did well.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'
