Mark, I am from Columbia too. I would sure like to be able to move to the lake full time. I try to spend as much time there as I can at our condo. What did you do for a living in Columbia? I am wondering if we have met before.Quote:

My condo is at The Palisaides on the 14mm. Let's get together some time. I used to fish a big commercial dock up your way years ago when I was bass fishing that was loaded with brush. I have been wanting to try it for crappie.Quote:

Crappie fish outa a 1756 Xpress Feb -Sept. From Oct - Jan I'm either in a treestand bowhuntin' or I'm chasin greenheads.
Fish mostly Wappapello or a couple of IL lakes. Plan to start back fishin' KY Lake this spring,seein' as how I now know this gal that lives close to there.;)

Hello Todd. I am from Kennett. Chaffee holds a warm spot in my heart as I met a wonderful girl from there one night at the Cape County Fair while attending undergraduate school there back in the early 70's. Sure wish I could remember her name! Also know some of the Capshaws from there.
Would like to make a trip to Kentucky Lake sometime if you really get on them. However, sounds like fishing may not be your major priority when you get over there.

yes i am a newbie. i'm phillip, aka bigfish(locally), bigfish5, and several other names i wont mention,lol i am 44 yrs old. i have been fishing for something since i was a kid. i have fished bass tournaments for over 26 yrs. i started crappie fishing just for the fun of it about 3 yrs ago. i dont get to do it as often as i would like(everyday would be almost often enough) but i am working on it. i mainly fish the coosa river logan martin and sometimes lay lake. occasionnaly henry neely. i am very much still in the learning stage. right now i only fish peirs. i am trying to learn how to catch crappie out away from the peirs or out off the banks. i only fish jigs and ultra lights. i live in the warrior, al area. i own a small trucking company so i work way way to much but i am working on taking more time off to fish. i have never been married(that might interrupt my fishing)lol. i have no kids. i joined crappie.com to try to improve my crappie fishing. in the short time i have been getting online here i have come to believe that there are really some nice people on here. nice people are hard to find these days. even though i dont know alot i am willing to help anyone i can learn about crappie fishing as i also hope to learn alot from several of the people on here that have been crappie fishing for years. i hope this may help someone else in some way. good luck and good fishing. bigfish5 :)
