Welcome to all you new fellers! Take your shoes off and stay awhile:)
I only fish near Bucksaw on Truman cause I keep my boat there. 22 ft Lowe deck boat. Been reading the MO board for years and finally signed up. Not real good on the computer and only have dial-up but I feel like I know some of you from reading your posts. Retired USAF and fish mostly weekends and have had some luck slow pushing minnows and jigs. Good luck to all and may the ice melt soon.
Welcome!
Welcome,,good Luck In Your Fishing Adventures
Hi my name is Frank, I live in Simms, Tx but at present i am in Kuwait. Back home I Fish Wright Patman every chance i get, lots of lakes within an hours ride, usually on the water every weekend year round. It's great living in a place where you can fish year round, it gets cold but no ice and not much snow. got a couple bass boats and a flatbottom and a 18' pontoon sport model. once you casual fish from a pontoon its hard to fish outta anything else. 4 fishing seats(2front-2 rear) live well, trolling motor and fish finder, and all the room in the world to move around. Hope to see some of ya on the water when i get home, can't wait i'll be the one spider riggin from a pontoon usually. and thanks for this great site.
Welcome aboard, bro and Frank. Make yourselves at home and enjoy your stay.
Thanks for your service. My son will be heading to Afghanistan in a couple months. Keep safe.
Brobrash I think I have ran into you a few times just down from Bucksaw in the small cove right at the corner. If it was you were slow trolling minnows out the front of your boat. Need to get you some of the MO crappie.com decals. They are a good way for us to know who to stop and talk to. Welcome to the site. Lots of good info and even better people on here.
J15, If you are talking about the cove just north of Bucksaw I fish that cove a lot. Someone named it hamburger cove cause you can smell them cooking burgers from the restaurant from there with a south wind. I don't normally fish past french bridge road near the cut or past hay creek the other way. It is hard to fish out of a big sail boat (22 Deck boat with Bimini top) when its windy. Got to get some stickers.
Welcome brobrash glad to have aboard,if you every want to fish the Best Crappie Lake in Missouri let me or Bugman know and we'll take you down to LOZ.
Thanks, used to fish LOZ spawn for several years. Three of us fly fishing from a 18 ft Ranger and doing really well, we got plenty of funny looks. Friend sold his Ranger four years ago. Does anyone fly fish for them anymore?
