    Default Afternoon trip

I tied up some trout jigs in the morning for the upcoming trout season and went to local lake to see if they stocked yet. Got to the lake around 2 pm and only seen a couple people on the dock waiting but not fishing so trout was a no go. I fished around lake and picked up a bass on the third cast. Guys left so went back to the dock casting into the shady areas catching several gills and hybrid gills. Fishing one area and caught a 10" White crappie, first of the year at this lake. Caught three more from the same spot all just like the first in size. Those little jigs past the crappie test.Name: IMG_6533.jpg

I had not caught a crappie from this lake all year. Usually catch a few around the dock area in November after they stock trout. Crappie here are on the skinny side but was nice to feel the thump, they popped that little jig really good. Need to fish more in the afternoon.

Fished two lakes yesterday. First lake was stocked with trout catch and release now. Picture of the first one of the season. Caught a tiny white crappie as well. Hit lake by the house and caught three more crappie. One was 11 inches, getting bigger. Still haven't stocked trout but the crappie thumps are keeping things interesting.Name: IMG_6563.jpg
