Default ketchn spawners in gale force winds

One issue I am battling now is I have little appetite and have lost 30 lbs. since last summer. So when I had the call from Turkey Tom that the crappie were on the banks at LSL had to go. One sunny, warm day this week and this was it so really gung ho BUT early in morning got a call from my youngest daughter who needed Papa to come and watch her sick daughter while she went to have tests done. Also last day of cardio rehab so ONLY day this week had anything going. of course I went to her house and poor lil girl was so sick she just laid there and didn't come running to Papa like usual.

daughter was back before 2 and headed to lake to hit the shore. soon as I got there one of my besties came out and joined my and I called another letting him know I was there. we hit the docks and sure enough it was on! most were in colors and ready to rock but mostly between 5 to 8 inches. But dang they bit hard and a whole lot of fun.

took ketchn probably 15 before I missed a bigun, then another dozen and then KABOOM! real nice one hit and brought it to shore. but walking on the hard dock and then on rip rap along shore took it's toll on my back quickly and had to stop. did put my friends on where to fish and they started getting into them as I had to leave and head back to the massage chair and heating pad at home.

High winds almost blew my skinny butt into lake several times and the water was choppy and chocolate milk.

forecast is for winds and rain most of week but will get back out there tomorrow. I've got rain gear but dang I hate that constant high wind. fished for about an hour and probably caught 30+ crappie, all males.

Nice slab crappie in crappy conditions. That's a lot of weight to lose, need to gain a few pounds or put rocks in your pockets to keep you from getting blown into the lake. Watched grandson yesterday and took him for a walk around city park lake which he loved but allergies kicked in and he was miserable after the walk.
